The Great Meadows of the Connecticut River This land may be used for vehicle recreation, as long as you keep to the dirt trails. There are 3 or more entrance locations throughout Glastonbury, Rocky Hill and Wethersfield, CT. This area is a common place for bird watchers, hikers and mountain bikers. However, during the flood season (Spring), the Connecticut River overflows causing some areas of the trails to be completely submerged underwater. For a fee, there is also an enclosed area for ATV and Dirt Bike usage.
