What Is Dirtopia?

Dirtopia is a free encyclopedia of off-road trails and destinations that anyone can edit. Our goal is to document every single off-road trail in the United States. We're off to a good start, but we need your help.

3D Flyovers with Google Earth

Many trail articles now have Google Earth profiles. Google Earth is a free 3D satellite mapping program that allows you to fly around your favorite off-road trails from your computer.

To view trails in 3D, download Google Earth for free and then click on the "Google Earth" files on any Dirtopia trail profile.

Glamis Sand Dunes?

The Glamis Sand Dunes are the most popular off-road destination in Southern California. Hundreds of thousands of visitors arrive on various holiday weekends, often grouping in popular areas during specific times of the day, such as Oldsmobile Hill in the afternoon and Gecko Road in the afternoon. The BLM estimates that over 1.4 million visitors come to these sand dunes each year for day-use riding or to camp over weekends and ride in the dunes.
