If there was heavy rain fall recently the creek will swell very high. If heavy rain blows through during the day the creek will rise quickly. Beware.

Directions

TO CREEK FALLS From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: Take rt51 south, 15 min or so south of I70. Follow till you come up on a big flea market on the right. At the light make a left. Follow through round about. Follow Layton Rd to top of hill (Very twisty) At stop sign make right onto Banning RD. Continue past Sechrist Auto Wreckers on right. You see a Golf Course sign on the right, Make the next left onto Cottom Rd. Follow to the end, make another left onto School Rd. Come down the hill to the train trestle, make a left along the train tracks, follow the trail to your hearts desire.

You will come to the creek, turn left into the water and you will see the trail continues. Follow all the way back to large clearing and there is a place to swim. go past the clearing and you have entered 9 mile trail. Good Luck!!

This property is now controlled by a private organization who has blocked access to the area. Due to litter (bottles, cans, and burnt cars) this area is now off limits. It used to be alot of fun. You can still walk the tracks to swim, but I doubt you will be able to get permission.
