Carova Beach
Located in the North East corner of NC is the uppermost section of the Outer Banks. Beach access is allowed for a 14 mile stretch up to the VA line. ATV's require a permit but licensed street vehicles do not. 4WD is required. It is the only access to many beach houses so watch out for people as well as the wild ponies. It can become very crowded in the summer months.
Directions
Arriving at the Outer Banks via NC 158 turn North on NC 12. Drive 25 miles North through the towns of Duck and Corolla. The road will end at the beach access.
