Bee Canyon to Pine Cove Road
From Dirtopia, The Off-Road Encyclopedia
Bee Canyon to Pine Cove Road is ideal if you are looking for an easy 4WD route.
Start at California 74 near Hemet and drive by the wash line through the Bee Canyon which is usually dry except when it rains. The terrain is sandy and is quite easy to pass by except during the rains, during which the trail is usually closed. On the way you get to see some nice vegetation zones.
As you start the descent out of Bee Canyon you get some good views of the South Fork of the San Jacinto Valley as well as citrus groves to Hemet. Go further and you find yourself on a roughly graded road leading up the Indian Mountain. Here is where you can choose to take the moderate to difficult 4WD Indian Mountain Trail towards the north.
If you continue on the original trial you will soon come across pines, oaks and cypress trees near Pine Cove.
Campers will love this zone which has some excellent campsites but these are rarely available on weekends due to its popularity.
You end the trail at Pine Cove on California 243
